A sensuous, spatial three-channel video installation and essay film reflecting the artist’s somatic encounter with the industrially deforested boreal belt of the subarctic — a region that holds time within its layered landscapes.

The starting point for the work was an artistic research project in northern Sweden, in Sápmi — the traditional settlement area of the Sámi — a region shaped by industrial deforestation and colonial interventions.

The installation combines visual, auditory, and olfactory layers, dispersed through an invisible scent machine, to create a multi-sensory and poetic experience.

How to Connect With Landscape was shown at Q18 Art Space in Cologne in June 2025 and was later presented from November 2025 to January 2026 under the same title in the artist’s first solo exhibition at the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts (KFMA) in Taiwan.
